Isn't this pretty much the same as category:Upcoming Games? --TucayoSig.png The 'Shroom 01:42, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

No, because unreleased games could also mean canceled games. What I don't know is how come there are no canceled games on the list? BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)
Then why is there a category for canceled games? So we can get more specific? Mario Green.pngBazooka Mario BadaBoom! 02:03, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
So that makes this category redundant if categories it refers to exists. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C)

Reviving this discussion. So we have a category on Upcoming Games, we have a category on Canceled Games. Can we get rid of this redundant article as well?Marioguy1 (talk)

Delete this redundant category[edit]

Reviving this discussion again, I think this template should get deleted. I recently removed it on a template about a subject which is different, and we have Upcoming games AND Cancelled games as a category. It's redundant at best. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 20:53, 9 May 2014 (EDT)

This discussion had to be revived twice. Maybe the two aforementioned categories can become a subcategory of this, but I don't know the use for it. Mario Green.pngBazooka Mario BadaBoom! 20:59, 9 May 2014 (EDT)
Based on the summary text, my guess is that the idea of this category is that you'd put it on the article of a subject (character/item/etc.) from the upcoming game, so it's not exactly a duplicate of the "cat:Upcoming games" category you'd put on the actual game page. Plain "cat:Upcoming" seems to be for upcoming non-game media (books, etc.) pages, but it could potentially fill the "upcoming subjects" niche this one theoretically holds... - Walkazo 22:03, 9 May 2014 (EDT)
So, move this category to an appropriate name? BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 20:18, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
