This article is about an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. For a similar enemy from Super Mario World, see Fish Bone.

Template:Species-infobox Jean de Fillets[1] are skeleton Cheep Cheeps that live in both water and lava. Their name comes from "fillet", a boneless cut of meat (usually fish).

History

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3

The enemy Jean de Fillet from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Jean de Fillets appear in two levels of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and the exclusive Endless World of Yoshis stage in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Despite being a Cheep Cheep's skeleton, a Jean de Fillet is larger than the Cheep Cheeps of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Jean de Fillets stick their heads out of the water or lava, then jump out, knocking Yoshi away if they touch him. They can be defeated with an egg or another object thrown at them.

Yoshi's New Island

In Yoshi's New Island, they are slightly smaller, and appear in Furious Fred de Fillet's Castle, along with a boss version named Furious Fred de Fillet.
