This article is about an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. For a similar enemy from Super Mario World, see Fish Bone.

Template:Species-infobox Jean de Fillet[1] is a skeleton fish that lives in both water and lava. It appears in two levels of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, as well as Yoshi's New Island. Jean de Fillets stick their heads out of the water or lava, then jump out. They can be defeated with a well timed egg throw. A boss version of a Jean de Fillet, named Furious Fred de Fillet, appears in World 4-8: Furious Fred de Fillet's Castle in Yoshi's New Island. Their name comes from "fillet", a boneless cut of meat (usually fish).
