An Elephant Fruit[1] is a power-up item that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is a red and white fruit, resembling an apple with an elephant trunk and ears, as well as two beady eyes. Upon collecting an Elephant Fruit, it will turn the user into a bipedal elephant version of themselves, simply known as their Elephant form.[1]

Upon collecting an Elephant Fruit, characters will say "Wowie zowie!" as they transform. Unlike other power-ups, the transformation to the elephant form is uneven, and actually turns the collector into an elephant, rather than equipping them with a suit of some kind.
