The Lake

The Lake is a level in The Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Diddy Kong discovers a crashed Arwing near the jungle. He races over to it, only to be confronted by a Rayquaza that has emerged from the adjacent lake. Rayquaza uses Dragon Pulse on the Arwing, destroying it. Diddy Kong looks on, scared. He is then picked up by Rayquaza, who flies off with him. Suddenly, Fox McCloud emerges from the Arwing, and attacks Rayquaza, who tumbles into the lake. But, he returns shortly afterwards. Diddy Kong and Fox fight him, eventually defeating him. Fox ends up teaming up with Diddy Kong, and they explore the area until they encounter Bowser. They defeat him; however, they had just fought False Bowser, and had not defeated the real one, who starts firing his Dark Cannon at them. Diddy wants to fight Bowser because he was the one who turned Donkey Kong into a Trophy in the first place, but Fox grabs Diddy and runs away, as Bowser laughs menacingly.
