Yoshi is a green dinosaur with a large nose, three red spines on the back of his head and a red saddle/shell. Yoshi has a long stick tongue that is good for eating up enemies and fruit. Yoshi's favorite fruit is the watermelon because it matches his skin color which is green. Yoshi can change into different colors depending on what power ups he has. The blue koopa shell gave him the ability to fly, the red shell allowed him to breathe fire and the yellow shell enabled him to stomp hard on the ground, creating small dust clouds. The blimp fruit allowed him to blow up like a balloon and float, the bulb berry allowed him to glow in dark places and the dash pepper allowed him to run very fast.
