Ultimate Figure Skating
Ultimate Figure Skating is an dream event in the DS version of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Here, players must compete to get the highest score. Points are earned by doing moves correctly and collecting rings. During the event, the player will trace the track with the stylis to control their character and collect the rings and on the way, overcome several obstacles.
Obstacles
There are some obstacles to complete in the event:
Spring Jumps
The character will jump off a springboard and the player will have to connect the numbers that come up on the screen in numerical order. After that they need to slide up on the screen to jump higher until all the rings in the air a grabbed.
Spin
At some point, the player will see a Chaos Emerald circle mark. When the character touches it, they will need to quickly trace the yellow line to draw a circle. After that, enemies will appear and the player will need to touch the direction they want their character to go and deflect the foes before time runs out.
Boss Battles
The last obstacle to come up will be fighting the boss. Here, notes will come up and the player will need to touch the yellow circle when the notes enter it. The notes will come up at the beat of the music. The player mainly wants to hit the Shock Notes to do a step attack and damage the enemy. Once the enemy is defeated, the event will end.
Rule Info
Collect rings on the ice and do tricks at jump and spin areas. You'll earn points for rings grabbed, enemies beaten, and artistic merit.

Different music can be played during the event. Each song is at a different level.
