Tromp may refer to:
*Spiny Tromp, a large Thwomp-like rolling obstacle found in Paper Mario and Super Paper Mario.
*Spiky Tromp, a smaller Thwomp-like rolling obstacle found in Super Paper Mario.

A Tromp is a large, spiked orb with a surly face; it bears a small resemblance to a circular Thwomp.

A Tromp first appeared in Paper Mario inside Mt. Lavalava; in a corridor of Mt. Lavalava, a Tromp would appear to try and crush Mario; Mario would need to use Bow's intangibility powers to avoid the Tromp.

Later, another Tromp, after having its path cleared by Mario and his Ultra Hammer, would roll haphazardly towards Mario. Mario would need to use Bow's ability to make himself intangible to avoid the rolling Tromps.

Unfortunately, the Tromp would continue to roll and crush the nearby Kolorado, injuring him incredibly; the Tromp would then blast it's way through a nearby wall, clearing Mario's path before immbedding itself in a wall.

Several Tromps appeared in a recent trailer for Super Paper Mario in a desert-like area. This game reveals that Tromps are actually rather thin and composed of three layers of a spiked, cardboard-like substance.
