Animation and Continuity errors

  • When Mario and Toad are pulling the giant slingshot's band, Luigi is using completely green clothes.
  • In some shots, the Hammer Bros. have yellow spots on his legs.
  • In the second shot with the Hammer Bros. disguised as the Mario Bros., their mustaches are swapped.

Trivia

Toad wearing his helmet when he was the Toad Warrior.
  • This episode makes a few obscure references to the rest of the Mario franchise, including Toad chastising himself for being a bad Mushroom Retainer and later complimenting the Mario brothers on their carpentry of the Trojan Koopa (Mario's experience as a carpenter in his earlier life may have contributed to the construction of the statue).
  • When Toad is about to go into the fortress by being launched into it, he wearing Toad Warrior's helmet.
  • When Princess Toadstool used the powers of the Starman, her dress dressed turned red, white and blue, which are the three colors that symbolize the United States of America. It is the only time she uses a power-up in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
  • The fact that Mario used a statue of Bowser to get inside his fortress is a reference to the Trojan War.
