All in all, it would be a bad idea to create a reception section for characters in general. {{User:Bazooka Mario/sig}} 17:30, 18 November 2015 (EST)

I know this is old, but with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe having been released over 7 months ago (and the original Mario Kart 8 over 3 years ago), I thought that this needed to be said. I mean, I'm perfectly fine with clones, babies, metals, etc., but Nintendo should seriously consider having a drop down menu system similar to that of the Smash Bros. series, since they shouldn't hog up the character roster.
Since Shy Guy and Yoshi have a drop down menu system for their color variations, so the same should apply for clones, babies, metals, etc., but not a lousy drop down menu system that Metal Mario and Gold Mario share, since they're not unique characters, just metal clones of Mario himself.

-Mario Kart 8: we got the entire Koopalings, more clones, metals, babies, etc., such as Pink Gold Peach.
My best guess for her existence wasn't necessarily to give Metal Mario a girlfriend rather was just a quick and easy character to make, but that's just speculation. And considering the fact that there's a statue of Baby Pink Gold Peach in GCN Baby Park in Mario Kart 8, I wouldn't be surprised if Baby Pink Gold Peach (or perhaps even Green Bronze Luigi) makes it into Mario Kart 9's character roster.

Pink Gold Peach

So, This will be Peach's Metal Mario...she's unlockable, right?

We don't know yet. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 18:58, 30 April 2014 (EDT)
It must be, because if you see the first photo, Pink Gold Peach isn't there, then she is in the next photo.
A later version of the character select screen from Mario Kart 8
The full character selection screen in Mario Kart 8.
That's only because she wasn't announced when that picture was released. Same applies for Mii and Baby Rosalina.--

Critical Reception

We all know that Pink Gold Peach is one of the most hated characters here, so do you think she deserves a section for reception? Marioguy (talk) 17:24, 18 November 2015 (EST)

No. We won't follow Wikipedia critical reception sections on fictional video game characters, as we think it's a bit on the, uh, ridiculous side. We allow reception sections only for video games only. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 17:29, 18 November 2015 (EST)
What Baby Luigi said. Don't take "reception" sections on video game characters (or any character for that matter) from Wikipedia seriously because you can't really *rate* a character, compared to a game or a movie, much less one from a minimalist Mario series. You can note their legacy and their influence, but that's usually left to characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser anyway. All in all, it would be a bad idea to create a reception section for characters in general. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! What's the point of Pink Gold Peach's existence?

History of clones, babies, metals, etc.:
-Mario Kart: Double Dash!!: first Mario Kart that started this brand new completely out of no where characters (Toadette) and babies (Baby Mario and Baby Luigi).
-Mario Kart Wii: the babies trend got a little out of hand again...
-Mario Kart 7: we got Metal Mario.
