A [[MarioWiki:Proposals|recent proposal]] decided to give each type of nut its own page. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to comment on it after verifying my data. I agree that each type of nut should get its own page; however, I disagree on the names. In Bowser's Inside Story the names for a single unit of each of the nut items are Nuts, Super Nuts, Ultra Nuts, and Max Nuts. In battle using any of these items results in two nuts going up in the air with each brother eating one. How then can the new pages have the singular forms as their titles? That would seem to be saying these articles only cover half an item. Is any of this making sense? Do I need a talk page proposal? :Even if the Nuts usually come in pairs of two, that doesn't mean there are always two of them. If a Nut is used while someone is knocked out, only one Nut is thrown out. Despite what they may be listed as, it wouldn't make sense to use the plural form for a single item. {{User:Time Turner/sig}}

Grammatical number

Are these items exclusively referred to in the plural form in the games in which they appear? If not, should this be moved to a singular form title like most other articles?--vellidragon 13:58, 5 May 2010 (EDT)

Nuts are called nuts. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Recent proposal I missed the deadline for.

A recent proposal decided to give each type of nut its own page. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to comment on it after verifying my data. I agree that each type of nut should get its own page; however, I disagree on the names. In Bowser's Inside Story the names for a single unit of each of the nut items are Nuts, Super Nuts, Ultra Nuts, and Max Nuts. In battle using any of these items results in two nuts going up in the air with each brother eating one. How then can the new pages have the singular forms as their titles? That would seem to be saying these articles only cover half an item. Is any of this making sense? Do I need a talk page proposal? Warioad (talk) 12:32, 18 January 2016 (EST)

Even if the Nuts usually come in pairs of two, that doesn't mean there are always two of them. If a Nut is used while someone is knocked out, only one Nut is thrown out. Despite what they may be listed as, it wouldn't make sense to use the plural form for a single item. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
