There is a statement that said the none of the moves Lucas has in Brawl came from the actual game (Mother 3). That isn't entirely true. | |||
His up smash is reminiscent of his stance while pulling needles in the game, plus his side smash reflects his main weapon being sticks (not dissimilar to Ness's bat). | |||

Misleading statement about Lucas's moveset
There is a statement that said the none of the moves Lucas has in Brawl came from the actual game (Mother 3). That isn't entirely true.
