Purpose in Mario Party Advance[edit]

Does anybody know what it does in Mario Party Advance? I once messed around with it for a while and got it to rattle a little, but I don't think I managed to make anything really exciting happened... Does anyone know exactly what it does? --YellowYoshi398 17:06, 21 December 2006 (EST)

I always thought it didn't do anything. -- Sir Grodus

The lamp? If that's what you're talking about, eventually the genie comes out, but he goes back in. If you're talking about another Gaddget, can't help you. Maxlover2 19:18, 19 February 2007 (EST) Ha! I Signed!

Genie Lamp[edit]

Should this page be called "Genie Lamp" and the other page be called "Magic Lamp"?

Seems so, given that "Genie Lamp" is the latest name given to it and as far as I know, there aren't any rename logs so I think a move is logical there. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 23:37, 17 November 2016 (EST)
Seen here, the name of the item is still Magic Lamp in Mario Party 4, so I think the name might've only changed in the Japanese version. LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:30, 9 December 2016 (EST)
It's called "Genie Lamp" in the Mario Party 4 instruction booklet. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:33, 11 December 2016 (EST)
Nice catch... though unless there's reason to make an exception, the article should be changed back per Naming. I believe the original question was suggesting a split like the genie articles rather than a move, but that seems excessive at this point. LinkTheLefty (talk) 00:58, 12 January 2017 (EST)
