Being the flirt that he is, Stanley hits on Wendy and snatches a bomb from her, thinking it's a gift. As his name suggests, Stanley is a talking fish, and talking is something he's very good at. Because of this habit, most of everyone he knows find him very annoying. He usually talks about his love life, as he is often insecure with it.
Stanley made his presence known in the first Nintendo Comics System story ever written, "The Fish That Should've Gotten Away". In this relatively short story, he follows Mario through a field of various enemies, needing advice about his relationship with Barbara the Bush.
