Spangle is a small purple Starkiss encountered in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. He carries a tiny electric guitar and a pair of sunglasses.

When Mario and Luigi travel to Gwarhar Lagoon to retrieve a piece of the Beanstar, they find it in possession of Hermie III, who was using it to decorate his shell. After defeating the giant hermit crab and getting the Beanstar piece, Hermie wanted a replacement for it. Spangle, meanwhile, wanted a stage to stand on. The two found each other and Hermie was so delighted that he gave the brothers the Soulful Bros. Badge.

His name is directly based off of the word spangle, which is the meaning for any small, sparkling object.
