Toadsworth gets unconscious from the Shroomshock.
Shroomshock is a type of shock that possibly only Toads get. In this shock, the character is so shocked that he or she loses consciousness. The effect is permanent unless a Refreshroom is eaten. This type of shock only makes an appearance in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Toadsworth is the only character to get it, and he gets Shroomshock when he becomes concerned that Princess Peach is lost in time and unsafe. Dr. Toad later sends Mario out to get a Refreshroom for Toadsworth, which indeed cures him.
