A Scaratroopea is a winged Elite Troopea found in the Beanbean Kingdom in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Mario and Luigi encountered Scaratroopeas in Joke's End. His abilities remain largely the same as a Paratroopea, only he moves much faster and can heal all enemies by spitting at them a large droplet of water. He can also revive his allies using the same ability. When a Scaratroopea takes enough damage, he loses his wings and becomes a regular Elite Troopea. Scaratroopeas are tough opponents, and should be defeated before the other enemies during a battle.
Trivia
- "Scaratroopea" comes from a pun on the "para-" prefix used in "Paratroopea" and the word "scare", which means "to frighten".
- According to the Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga official guide, this enemy is called "Soaratroopea". This name was likely a typo of the immensely similar "Scaratroopea", but "Soaratroopea" does happen to make sense (as "soar" means "to fly").
