The Plunder Chest is Princess Peach's favorite item in Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3. It's a treasure chest that can steal an item from another player.

In Mario Party 2, the Plunder Chest randomly chose another player that was holding an item, stole their item, and gave it to the player. In Mario Party 3, players could chose who they wanted steal from, but if the person being targetted had two or three items, the item that was stolen was picked at random.

There is a much rarer version of the Plunder Chest in Mario Party 3, called the Barter Box. It takes all items from the opponent, but also gives the user's items to the opponent.
