A Patroller is a user who is given blocking, rollbacking, and patrolling rights.
Rollbacking allows reverting edits to become easier. Patrollers can simply click the rollback button in the history page, rather than undoing the edit. This feature make fighting vandalism more effective.

They can be considered an in-between of users and Sysops and are chosen by Bureaucrats for a) activeness and b) trust.
