Mandibugs (also known as Spacebugs) are beetle-like enemies found in Super Mario Galaxy. They infested the Honeyhive Galaxy and are led by the Bugaboom. They are apparently unfriendly neighbors of the Bees, and they take over the Bees' tower in Mission 2: Trouble on the Tower. They can be defeated simply by doing Ground Pounds on their backs.
They attack to Mario chasing him and harm to the plumber with their mandibles. They will appear as common foes in the Honeyhive Galaxy, and are led by Big Bad Bugaboom.
Trivia
"Mandibug" is wordplay on mandible.
