This is a list of beta elements for the game Mario Kart 8.
Early builds
Twisted Mansion was originaly called Boo House.
Characters
Toadette was originally going to be a starter character.
Bodies
There was a kart in the beta that was replaced by the Sport Bike. The decorations are very similar between the two. Probabily it was going to be called "Sport Kart" but was changed to a bike to prevent too many karts appearing, contrasting bikes.
The original logo, which bears similarities to the final version.
Beta Thwomp Ruins, note the finish line and flowers are absent in this version.
