The Gold Mantis is Waluigi's slowest kart in Mario Kart DS. It resembles a standard backhoe, and has little room to sit. It has average speed, weight, acceleration, handling, and drift, and low items. It is probably a nod to Wrecking Crew, whose villain — Foreman Spike — is commonly seen as the prototype of Wario.
