Ganchan are found in the moutainous and spike-filled areas of the Easton Kingdom of Sarasaland. Ganchan is simply a large boulder that bounds around unceasingly. They can be used as convenient platforms to get across long stretches of spikes or to reach high areas out of reach. Hiyoihoi also uses Ganchans as projectile weapons. Keep in mind however that Ganchan are indestructible, and should typically be avoided. They somewhat resemble Thwomps.
