Dupree is a blue, disco-diva wannabe Doogan-like creature with a pink afro most noted for talking with a French accent. It is never revealed weather his accent is real, or if he is faking it to flirt with the ladies. He appeares often in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He first appeares trying to form a romantic relationship with Goombella in Petalburg, and from then on continues to reappear in the towns that Mario visites. He also flirtes with many other women such as the wife of the Twilight Town shopkeeper, and the Bob-omb owner of Fahr Outpost's Inn. All of women he flirtes with dislike him. The Inn Keeper even goes as far as to throw him out of her Inn into the snow.
As the game goes on, Goombella continues to express her distaste for him, but she has to admit that she is impressed by how he always seems to know where Mario and company are going to be, and how he always gets there ahead of them. For said reason, it is possible he may be stalking Goombella.
