Dream Hurdles

Dream Hurdles is a dream event in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. It takes place at the Battlerock Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy.

Gameplay

The event is played versus style. Players race around the planet Topmaniac would be on. They must jump over hurdles and earn points. Players can also "leapfrog" over other players. ? Switches also have various effects on the stage, such as items and speed of the rotation. Three points are gained for every Hurdle jumped over.

In this event, players run on a revolving stage to jump over hurdles and rivals for points.

Controls

Basics

  • Forward/back: +Control PadControl Pad left/right
  • Change lane: +Control PadControl Pad up/down
  • Jump: Two Button

Tips

  • Press Two Button when behind a rival to leapfrog over them!
  • You can vary your jump height by adjusting how long you hold down Two Button.

Tricks

  • Hitting the ? Switch can have various effects--the rotation might speed up, or even change direction.
  • Get hit by a moving Green Shell and you'll lose 5 points!
  • Get a Super Star and you'll be invincible! Run into rivals to get points.
