Check and X Barrels are special types of barrel that appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. The Check Barrel helps the Kongs while the X ones do the complete opposite. These appear in a few levels with a Skull Cart, and they are important in these levels. In Target Terror, they act as switches to open gates that are in the way. In Haunted Hall, there are similar barrels.
