The Giant Cannon appeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It is located in the Fahr Outpost, and is made fully operational. When Mario goes there in hopes of finding a way to the Moon, he is informed that he must seek out Goldbob and General White of he wished to use the cannon. After he finally tracks them down, Mario speaks to the Mayor once more and the Giant Cannon is activated. It is, by far, the biggest cannon ever to be seen in a Mario game. Loaded with tons and tons of Bob-ombs, Mario hops inside and is shot to the Moon, his final destination.
