Ski Yoshi is a formation that Yoshi uses in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. It is overly overlooked, seeing as it is only used once in both games. It involves Yoshi getting on some Skis and sliding down a hill. The controls are simple, just press forward to go faster and A to jump. Yoshi had to jump over obstacles to live. If Yoshi hit something, he would turn into Snowball Yoshi.
