Hotel Mario is well-known for its cheesy cutscenes, there are two beta cutscenes stored in the game.
A scene where Mario pushes a button with a tag saying "I'm your biggest fan." The giant fan then starts up and clears up the clouds.
There is also another beta cutscene where Mario breaks open a giant piggy bank with a hammer and the coins fall out. He then says "So this is where Wendy hid the real coins."
There is some unused sound effects stored in the game, most notably dialog of two unknown voices saying: "Y'a know, I think that maybe that Roy is a pretty good sport after all." "What do you mean?" "See? He's waving goodbye." "All-a-right!"
