Mandibugs (also known as Spacebugs) are beetle-like enemies found in Super Mario Galaxy. They infested the Honeyhive Galaxy and are led by the Bugaboom. They are apparently unfriendly neighbors of the Bees, and they take over the Bees' tower in Mission 2: Trouble on the Tower. They can be defeated simply by doing Ground Pounds on their backs.
They apparently try to suck Mario into their mouths as he gets close, but it is unknown whether they are trying to vacuum him up or if they are simply chasing him, trying to catch the plumber and squeeze him with their pincers. They will appear as common foes in the Honeyhive Galaxy, and are led by Big Bad Bugaboom.
