Frog Suit

A Frog Suit is an item found exclusively in Super Mario Bros. 3. The Frog Suit transforms Mario or Luigi into Frog Mario or Frog Luigi (respectively). In this form, Mario and Luigi have better control when swimming. While underwater, the Mario Brothers won’t sink, and will be able to swim faster, turn quicker, and avoid enemies easier. Additionally, Frog Mario and Frog Luigi can resist strong underwater currents, allowing them to enter secret Warp Pipes that are normally inaccessible.

The Frog Suit is a handy item to use in underwater levels. However, Frog Suits don’t provide much help on dry land. When out of water, Frog Mario and Frog Luigi move very slowly, as they can only move by hopping (instead of running). On the positive side, Frog Suits do allow the Mario Brothers to jump higher than they can normally.

When Frog Mario of Frog Luigi is hit by an enemy, they revert back to Super Mario or Super Luigi (respectively).

If Mario or Luigi can defeat a Koopaling while wearing a Frog Suit, the rescued king of the world will say a unique message to the hero.
