The scissors are an item in Dinosaur Dilemma. They resemble a pair of children's scissors, with thick handles and dull edges on the blades. They are located in a dormitory inside Bowser's Castle, and Mario can take them after he successfully defeats a pair of Hammer Brothers who were sleeping nearby. The scissors are necessary to defeat the Tie-rack-asaurus Necks: Mario uses them to cut off some of the ties around its necks, causing it to burst into tears and run out of the castle.
