However, if the brothers are hit while flying, or receive a Fire Flower within a level, they will lose the power of the P-Wing. Additionally, the effects of the P-Wing only last for one level. After that, the brothers are left with the basic Super Leaf abilities. The first P-Wing received in the game is located in Toad's secret shop, unlockable only by gathering most or all of coins in level 1-4 (at least 44 coins are required).
