Hello, License-reminder. Good job on your recent uploads. But when uploading files, keep in mind that you must use the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found at Category:Image copyright tags, but the following are more common:

  • {{promophoto}} - Used for a photo meant for promotional material.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, the license can be selected from the drop-down box below the editing window when uploading a file, or you can add the license manually after uploading. For example, an artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates, choose the one that you feel best fits the image. If you continue uploading files without licensing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

{{license-reminder}} can be issued to users who are repeatedly uploading files without the proper licensing. When issued, please remember to sign below the template with ~~~~
