"Freezie is the only recurring enemy from Mario Bros. that has kept its NES name rather than its original Arcade name."

- In the original arcade game, Shellcreepers, turtle-like enemies that resemble Koopa Troopas, were the basic enemy. In later remakes, Spiny replaced Shellcreeper. This was so newer gamers would not be confused and jump on the turtle enemy (which would, of course, kill Mario). -- Son of Suns
