Template:Minigame-infobox Blazing Lassos is a Duel Minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is a pun on the video game Blazing Lazers, and may also be a reference to the satirical western film, Blazing Saddles.

Introduction

Player 1 throws a lasso and yanks back a barrel (which does not count towards their goal). Then the game starts.

Gameplay

The players' goal is to get more points than their opponent by lassoing in barrels with numbers marked on them. The numbers are 5, 10, 20, 30, and 50. The catch is that the barrels are on spinning wheels, and the barrel that the player lassos in is almost completely random. Whoever has the most points by the time the time limit runs out wins.

Controls

  • Twirl Wii Remote upward: Swing lasso
  • Quickly tilt Wii Remote forward: Toss lasso at barrels
  • Swing Wii Remote backward: Bring barrel back

Ending

The winning player does a winning pose, while the loser is dizzy on the barrel holder.
