1st Place Shopping! is an advertisement on a parking garage for a shopping mall found in Crown City. It depicts a Spiny Shell, in reference to the item's function of targeting the racer in first place, and is visible from the western route of the city.

Batadon Aero Parts[edit]
Batadon Aero Parts is a company that appears to manufacture or sell aircraft parts, branded after Batadon. Like Koopa Air, the company's logo is likely inspired by that of Goodyear, with the winged Batadon mirroring the winged foot of the original, as well as using very similar colors.

Boo Cinema[edit]
Boo Cinema is a movie theater named after Boos with two locations: one with a course centered around it in the world's northern region, and one on the straightaway in Crown City that cannot be entered. The theater's marquees state that they are "open 24/7, 365 days a year," and posters of films that appear to be shown there are displayed on the buildings.
The Crown City theater advertises "Peach: Deep-Forest Explorer" and "Lakitu the Fisherman" at the front and "The Adventures of Toad" on a higher part of the building. The main theater features posters for "Salty Town Tales", "Shy Guy Bazaar", "Vampire", and "Wario Shipyard", as well as "Boo Castle". Both theaters also have a poster for "Yoshi's Movie".

Boo Castle is a film advertised in the main Boo Cinema theater, and is also the film driven through. According to the marquee, it's presented by Boohemoth, who also appears in the movie section of the course to spook the player. The film reels of the course show a scene of Peach in her "Vacation" outfit, getting frightened by bats flying out of the cinema building.

Lakitu the Fisherman[edit]
Lakitu the Fisherman is a film advertised in front of the Boo Cinema building in Crown City, suggesting that it is one of the films played there. Three "actors" are billed at the top of the poster: the eponymous Fisherman Lakitu (who also appears as one of the playable Lakitu's outfits), "River Dwellers: Cheep Cheeps," and "Lakitu's Friends: Spiny Eggs." The poster depicts Fisherman Lakitu attempting to catch a Cheep Cheep using a Spiny Egg as bait, presumably in Cheep Cheep Falls.
