Super Mario 3D All-Stars

  • Super Mario 64 featured in the collection is commonly speculated to be based off of the Shindō Pak Taiō Version, as in the Japanese Wii/Wii U Virtual Console releases, as evidenced by Mario saying "Buh-bye!" instead of "So long-a, King Bowser!" when throwing Bowser in the reveal trailer. As a result, the following changes are carried over to the port:
    • Text that mentioned pressing B Button to read signs in both the original Japanese and localized scripts now additionally mentions A Button can be pressed as an alternative.
    • If the player presses Z Button (presumably converted to ZL Button/ZR Button here) on the intro screen, the background will be filled with images of Mario's face.
    • The removal of the Backwards Long Jump glitch.
Confirmed, judging by the copyright date in the title screen having 1997 and the trademark symbol being blue[1].
Nintendo YouTuber Master0fHyrule has tested the latter two changes, confirming that this version is indeed based off of the Shindō Pak Taiō Version[2].
