An amiibo Token is a collectible item that appears in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. They have one of the Minis' faces on one side and the amiibo logo on the other. amiibo Tokens can only be collected by the corresponding Mini whose face is shown on the token. Gold amiibo Tokens also appear, being worth five regular tokens. Collecting enough of them unlocks levels in the Star World, and there are a total of 360 in the game.

The following levels require the following amounts of amiibo Tokens to unlock:

Star 2 - 20 amiibo Tokens
Star 3 - 40 amiibo Tokens
Star 4 - 60 amiibo Tokens
Star 5 - 80 amiibo Tokens
Star 6 - 100 amiibo Tokens
Star 7 - 150 amiibo Tokens
Star 8 - 200 amiibo Tokens
Star 9 - 250 amiibo Tokens
Star 10 - 300 amiibo Tokens
Star 11 - 360 amiibo Tokens
