New Super Mario Bros. Wii
The game New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a 2D, plat forming, Mario game. The game is a remake of it’s counter part New Super Mario Bros. for the DS released in 2006. This game was released in November 15th 2009 and has received a high rating in some of the most popular gaming sources, IGN rated it an 8.9 out of 10, X-Play rated it 4 stars out of five, and so on.
The game is based off of the original Super Mario Bros. games (Super Mario Bros. 1,2,3 and Super Mario World) in so much as the way the levels are set up all the way down to the background music and sound affects. The game has many various items such as the mushroom, star, and from the DS version the mini mushroom; The game also has new items such as the propeller suit (Allowing a person to float by shaking the Wii remote.),and the penguin suit (Allowing one to shoot balls of ice and slide on blocks of ice.)
The story of the game is like the original Mario Bros. games, the princess gets captured by Bowser (or his kids), and Mario/Luigi has to go save her traveling through 8 worlds (Mushroom Plains, Sea of Sand, Penguin Playground, Sparkle Ocean, Toxic Forest, Stone Head Mountains, Cloud Castle, and Bowser’s Volcano.)
After beating world 8 the player will have access to the secret world 9 (Rainbow Path), it has a total of 8 levels one for each world, but a person can not play any of the levels without collecting all of the gold star coins (also a returning factor from the DS version) from the designated world.
The game features play with the wii remote only or you can play by adding the nunchuck. The game also has a four player mode where four people can play together in adventure mode aor they can play the coin battle and even a free play mode, players 2-4 have the option of playing as Yellow Toad, Blue Toad and Luigi.
The game also allows you to use warp cannons, also from the previous game, to warp to different worlds just like any of the other games from the Super Mario Bros. series.
Overall this game is a fun, and exciting game made for kids and family members of all ages. I rate this game a 9 out of 10 for entertainment but to get the full experience consider trying it!
