"In the Paper Mario series, the maximum amount of coins which can be carried at a time is 999." From my knowledge, the maximum amount of coins which can be carried at a time in [[Paper Mario: Sticker Star]] is 9999, so is this sentence correct? -{{User:Freakworld/Sig}}

:No, it isn't. Just a few days ago, I had 1028 coins. I don't know what the maximum is, but it's more than 999. {{User:Mario4Ever/sig}}

== No Update? ==
The template hasn’t been updated in two weeks. Should someone write some new facts? [[User:Power Flotzo|Power Flotzo]] ([[User talk:Power Flotzo|talk]]) 12:00, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
:This should be updated every week, so yes. [[User:Obsessive Mario Fan|Obsessive Mario Fan]] ([[User talk:Obsessive Mario Fan|talk]]) 12:16, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
:If you gather some interesting trivia from the wiki, you can even update the template yourself. {{User:Bye Guy/Sig}} 12:17, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
::This template is easily forgotten...
::If you find it hasn't been updated in a while, you are more than welcome to see what you can find! {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:21, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
:::Here's something: "In an interview, the developers of ''[[Yoshi's Crafted World]]'' said the game is supposed to take place in a kindergarten class within the ''Mario'' universe." It's from the article's trivia section. {{User:Bye Guy/Sig}} 12:22, June 8, 2019 (EDT)
== Proposed MAJOR change ==
I saw that the DYK/trivia section is different than the English Wikipedia. I'd like for this to change a lot. The enwiki version is better, this one's making it more bitey that some content won't load. The new one exactly looks like this:
{{news-image|Mario Kart 64 No Trophy.png|150px}}
*... that in '''''[[Mario Kart 64]]''' (pictured)'', when the player finishes 4th or less, a bomb kart appears, and it explodes?
*... that  '''''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''''' has the most traditional power-ups in any ''Mario'' platformer thus far, with eighteen power-ups?
*... that '''[[Charles Martinet]]''' had never heard of Mario or Nintendo at the time of his audition?
*... that [[Rosalina]] and [[Dry Bowser]] are the only playable characters in ''Mario Kart Wii'' to not appear in '''''[[Mario Super Sluggers]]'''''?
[[User:Wariokart63|Wariokart63]] ([[User talk:Wariokart63|talk]]) 20:00, September 6, 2019 (EDT)
:Not every wiki has to do things the same way. You also didn't specify exactly ''what'' needed to be changed, which only elicits the idea that you just want it to look like on the Wikipedia, which is unnecessary. We do things our way, they do things their way. Opposing unless more info is given. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 20:24, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
::Yeah, I don't really get what you mean. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 01:47, September 14, 2019 (EDT)
==Um==
Is it just me, or are most of the recent tidbits of info (like the bomb kart thing) either poorly-written or reused? Would a DYK Committee be necessary to keep all the reused from a few weeks ago or poorly-written (or Arceus forbid, both) tidbits? We've got a Poll Committee for this exact reason. I fail to see why it shouldn't be the same here. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 20:14, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
:I per this. Before there were even trivia that was unsourced (that needed to be). We don't want false information and/or poor writing being on the front page. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 21:17, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
::[https://www.marioboards.com/threads/41540/ The discussion is now on the forums]. {{User:Doomhiker/sig}} 21:47, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
Would it be necessary if the committee were to work on the featured article and news sections as well? I don't think committees for each individually would work, but we could have a whole Main Page committee (with the poll committee still being separate). {{User:Obsessive Mario Fan/sig}} 22:03, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
:Please discuss all of this on my [[User talk:TheDarkStar/sandbox|sandbox talk page]], as the proposal is in my sandbox. I don't know if News/FA would be necessary. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 22:06, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
::There, proposed it. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 10:59, September 21, 2019 (EDT)
:::Okay, since the proposal was <s>rubbish</s> <s>doomed to fail</s> a bad idea, I had Alex95 cancel it (as it had been around for four days). I'll be doing general quality control like before, just with a new title. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig|is a DYK Brigadier now}} 21:00, September 27, 2019 (EDT)
==Idea==
A few notes at the top (obviously in <nowiki><noinclude></nowiki> tags) might be a good idea. They would say something about notability, something about sources, and/or something about good writing - this ''is'' on the main page, after all! Anyway, I'd like to hear the userbase's thoughts on this. {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 23:53, September 27, 2019 (EDT)
:I think that'd be good. What's noteworthy is probably subjective, though, so no real guidelines come to mind at the moment. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 10:55, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
Okay, I thought this over for a while, and I have a draft for the proposed guidelines.
*Facts must be reasonably '''notable''': facts such as "Mario can jump" or "Bomb cars explode" are not examples of notability.
*Facts must not be '''lengthy''': long walls of text for each fact just make the template take up too much space on the main page.
*Facts must be '''related to the ''Mario'' series''': Since this is a Mario wiki, facts such as "Kirby inhales things" or "Marth has a sword" are not permitted.
*Facts cannot be reused within '''three months''' of their original posting: Reused facts simply make us look lazy. Let's not do that.

==Question==
Why is this to be only updated once every week? {{User:TheDarkStar/sig}} 10:44, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
:Anything less would be too frequent. Anything more would make it seem like we don't really care for the template. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 10:55, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
== Update the facts ==
These facts have been here since mid-October and they need to be changed. [[User:FireyYoshi|FireyYoshi]] ([[User talk:FireyYoshi|talk]]) 09:09, November 9, 2019 (EST)FireyYoshi
