Deactivating the burner won't get you a star coin. Deactivating the burner will cause you to fall back down. The star coin requires powered-up mario to damage boost through the burner instead. Pikachu210 (talk) 23:28, May 5, 2023 (EDT)

You would fall back down if you don't land back on the lift, which is unlikely given how wide it is. That's how the designer intended it; damage-boosting is not. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:07, May 6, 2023 (EDT)
