Special Item[edit]

Do you need to select both of the listed characters for the Special Item to be picked up by the Item Box (Ex. You need both Mario and Luigi to get the Fireball Items from the Item Box), or can selecting one or both characters listed do the same thing (Ex. You can select Mario or Luigi and another character and have the Fireball)? --Tag365 (talk) 15:11, 9 June 2013 (EDT)

You don't need the same listed partner to perform the special item, you can still use the special item with a different character. --Alien Bunny Sprite.pngL151Onnanoko transparent WC98.png 16:30, 9 June 2013 (EDT)

To clarify things, you need only one character to get an item eg you need only either Baby Mario or Baby Luigi to get a Chain Chomp. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 16:51, 9 June 2013 (EDT)

Special Item+[edit]

While preparing to add "Special Item+" descriptions to the table in this article, I realised that the name "Special Item+" is never officially used by Nintendo (at least not to my awareness), so would the mention of it be a time to use {{conjectural}}, as in {{conjectural|Special Item+}} (producing Special Item+)? Also, would anyone object to having the Special Item+ description in a new column to the right of the normal Special Item descriptions (which would need renaming, probably to something such as Special Item description, alongside Special Item+ description)?
