We should make a page for Screamy's species. I think he is based of swirly vanilla ice cream.Ice Cream!

"Fiordilatte"[edit]
I'm Italian, and "Fiordilatte" is both a cheese and a milk ice cream flavor. I don't know English very well, but I think that this is the correct origin of Screamy's Italian name. Could you please add it to the article in good English form? Thanks.--151.62.53.225 16:07, 21 February 2016 (EST)

- "Fiordilatte" is the normal milk flavor ("latte" meaning "milk" in Italian) in Italy. I don't know if it's named after the cheese, but probably when the translators looked for a name for Screamy they didn't think at the cheese (which is usually just called "mozzarella"), but at the ice cream.--151.62.53.225 08:20, 22 February 2016 (EST)

Do any of the alternate languages for this game have any differences regarding Screamy's backstory with Luigi?
Obviously, his relation to Luigi in the English version is... somewhat vague. But considering the reported translation oddities in this game, I imagine that there may potentially be something that the localization team accidentally left out. (Or there could a translation of the line that may have interpreted it differently from the English/Japanese scripts.) Wandering Poplin (talk) 18:55, January 27, 2026 (UTC)
- In Japanese he says "・・・・・・・わたしは ス・クリーミらしんばんを もつものがどのような みらいを あゆむのか・・・わたしはそれを見とどけなければ ならない・・・" No mention of delivering things, he's just wondering about Luigi's future.
- In Chinese he says "……我是蘇‧克利米。帶著羅盤的人會走向什麼樣的未來……我必須親眼見證才行……", he wonders about Luigi's future and wants to see it with his own eyes.
- In Korean he says "……난 스크리미야나침반을 가진 자가어떤 미래로 나아가는가…나는 그것을지켜봐야만 해…", basically the same as the above.
- German: "...Ich bin Creepy. Was für eine Zukunft man wohl mit einem Kompass hat... Ich muss das unbedingt herausfinden..."
- French: "Je suis Sue Crème. Je me demande quel sort attend celui qui a la Boussole... Je veux absolument voir ça !"
- Italian: "... Sono Fiordilatte e ho deciso di vigilare sul futuro di chi possiede la bussola. Perché ho qualcosa da consegnare..." (actually mentions delivery)
- Spanish: "Me llamo Cremosillo... ¿Qué destino le aguarda a alguien con una brújula? No quiero perderlo de vista." (says he doesn't want to lose sight of Luigi)
- Dutch: "Ik ben Gilles. Ik moet weten wat de bezitter van het kompas van plan is... Ik heb namelijk nog iets te regelen..." (says he has something to take care of)
So yeah, it looks like "I must deliver something" was just another Parakoopa situation. Only the Italian translation mentions it, and I'd bet the Italian translation was based on the English one. The only real differences between the US/EU Spanish and French dialogue are the translated names so I didn't separate them. Scrooge200 (talk)
