Alternate name![edit]

The KC Deluxe adaptation features an alternate name for Mecha Nokonoko - 「カメ砲台」 (Kame Hōdai, Turtle Artillery) on pages 68 and 84. Which name should take priority? Mecha Nokonoko doesn't include macrons and seems easier to remember, but Kame Hōdai is also on the manga's included mini-guide right on page 2, and guide material typically takes priority. I'd go for Kame Hōdai, since it is used in the mini guide. S o m e t h i n g o n e ! A Big Bandit from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. 11:25, July 30, 2022 (EDT)
Waiting to see if there's a little more input, but in the meantime, I'd like to point out that Super Mario-kun volume 9 was released on December 16, 1993 - the same year as the game - whereas the KC Deluxe one released later on June 6, 1994. LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:46, August 17, 2022 (EDT)
Beside agreeing more with Somethingone, I want also to point out that don't we usually go for the most recent name? I mean, we don't use "Little Goombas", "Boo Buddy" and so on... being replaced by "Goomba", "Boo" and so on. Now sure, those are because the latter names are more used, but, I also see little cases such the Yoshi's Island exclusive enemies being called with the most recent name. --My avatar's face to use in the signature Mariuigi Khed 13:30, August 21, 2022 (EDT)
This is a bit of a unique case since the names come from two competing manga adaptations. Plus, looking through the KC catelog, their mini-guides seem like inconsistent afterthoughts. For some examples on what I mean, check out the first Super Mario Land 2 and Yoshi's Story parts. The mini-guide for Super Mario Land 2 uses generic names despite the cast rollMedia:KC Mario Super Mario Land 2 Enemies.jpg having the proper names, and for Yoshi's Story, the bosses Cloud N. Candy and Cloudjin have different names between the mini-guide and cast rollMedia:YS Manga Enemies.jpg (though in that instance, it's the mini-guide that seems more correct). There's a little of this in the second Road Hunting part, where the mini-guide on page 3 labels the Chargin' Chuck boss as 「ブル」 (Buru, Bul/Bull), but the caption and manga on page 50 introduce it as a 「巨大ブル」 (Kyodai Buru, Giant Bul/Bull). Do we keep the japanese name or just go with the translated japanese name "Mecha Koopa Troopa"?[edit]

How Many Koopas[edit]

How many Koopa Troopas are operating this sub? This article indicates there's only one but the Dark Sea article states that there's multiple. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 10:17, April 6, 2024 (EDT)
