Obese?[edit]

I'm not sure if Lubba should be called "obese". He is fat but because he is a Luma, well, they may not have the same standards. Sorry if I am being over-analitical.

Well, take picture of a normal Luma and of Lubba and compare the two. As far as I can see, hes obese in comparision.--Smileymiley5001 16:31, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

The Mysterious Lubba.[edit]

I am curious. Lubba is the only Luma so far who actually has a mouth. I am curious on why that is?

The Hungry Lumas also have mouths...--Nelde 10:19, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

The other Lumas have mouths( or at least, the ones in the storybook in Galaxy 1 do) and the Hungry Lumas do have mouths.--Smileymiley5001 16:30, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

I think all Lumas have mouths, but they just don't show them. How else would they eat Star Bits?

Female lubba?[edit]

I think lubba isn't female in the spanish version. His name ends with an "a" in the spanish version, but that doesn't mean he is a woman (Did I made a mistake? sorry for my english)

Where does it say Lubba is male or female?--Smileymiley5001 16:27, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

SMG1[edit]

Do anybody think that the purple luma in SMG1 could possibly be Lubba?

You mean the "Prankster Comet Luma"? No, not the same character at all: aside from the colour (not including the different eye colours), they look completely different, talk differently and have different roles. - Walkazo 13:20, 25 August 2011 (EDT)

Name similarity[edit]

Probably a coincidence, but Lubba is spelt like Clubba. RPG Gamer. I HAVE RPG!! (talk) 10:54, 31 March 2013 (EDT)

Gender[edit]

SMG1+SMG2 has begun releasing in some parts of the world (thanks time zones…) and it turns out Lubba may be female? The new storybook refers to Lu (aka Lubba) as a girl. That said, is Lubba ever referred to with gendered pronouns in the main game itself? Are there any promotional bios for this new port? Because the original SMG2 used male pronouns for promotional stuff, but I'm unsure on the game itself. And even if this is a Bonetail situation where it is 100% clear to change the pronouns, I do wonder if we should make a gender section in general. Technetium (talk) 08:52, October 1, 2025 (EDT)

The UK site for the Switch port says "Travel the stars with Lubba and her crew of space-faring Lumas", so I guess that's a retcon we gotta keep in mind.BiggestManMario dead in the arcade version of Donkey Kong 10:22, October 1, 2025 (EDT)
Just checked and can confirm this (https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/Nintendo-Switch-games/Super-Mario-Galaxy-Super-Mario-Galaxy-2-2915270.html). Thanks! Gonna change the pronouns then. Technetium (talk) 10:29, October 1, 2025 (EDT)
Makes you wonder if Lubba was ever described as female in Japanese... ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 10:43, October 1, 2025 (EDT)
Checking the Japanese version seems like an important line of research, would determine if this is truly a retcon or just them fixing up a localisation error. BiggestManMario dead in the arcade version of Donkey Kong 11:17, October 1, 2025 (EDT)

Does Lubba mention about the Switch Joycons or Pro Controller running low on batteries?[edit]

She did do so when the Wii Remotes were low on battery. R.O.B.Remembered Old BuddyROB 19:04, October 6, 2025 (EDT)
