As this manual artwork evinces, it seems like the move is considered to be one of Mario's moves. The move is also required to enter Tower of the Wing Cap. I would consider that this is meant to tutorialize the move and be a reward for using it, just like how it is required to Ground Pound to beat the mission "Chip Off Whomp's Block." What are your thoughts?

- I wouldn't consider it to be the same thing as "looking up" in Super Mario World and the other 2D platformers. Granted, it's not exactly easy to translate that kind of move into this kind of 3D platformer, but regardless, including it on this page... feels like a bit of a stretch. Wandering Poplin (talk)
