I got around to playing Wario Land 4 for the first time. During this playthrough, I realised that the "Golden Pyramid" is not the greater setting of the game, as this page has described it, but rather the chamber of the last passage (the "Golden Passage"), where the Golden Diva is fought, specifically.
This chamber is itself a golden (Egyptian style) pyramid, and it is literally the only thing called "Golden Pyramid" in-game, to my knowledge. The manual’s mentions of a pyramid also refer to it as "buried" within the "ruins", which is exactly what the entrance to the internal golden pyramid is in Wario Land 4 - Wario causes it to rise out of the ground by defeating the bosses in the other passages. This pyramid is also described as “the pyramid” in the CD section of the manual.
In short, I think that this page should be split, as it is currently covering two separate topics. A "Golden Pyramid" page should refer specifically to the last passage containing the final two levels, while the rest of the information about the setting of the game could be moved to a page named something along the lines of "ruins (Wario Land 4)". - Seandwalsh (talk) 22:17, December 30, 2025 (EST)
- I really don't like the idea of moving this page to "ruins (Wario Land 4)" when both the manual and in-game intro make it pretty evident that it's a pyramid. Not only through the fact that the newspaper clearly depicts the outside pyramid, which is also stated in the opening's subtitles to be discovered "deep in jungle", but also through phrases like "My game unfolds inside a pyramid made up of six passages!" Not to mention that the hidden inner pyramid doesn't reveal itself until Wario clears the Entry Passage, making it illogical for the newspaper writers to be talking about a hidden, yet-to-be-discovered pyramid inside a recently discovered pyramid. So when the same manual has Wario say that he's headed for the Golden Pyramid (or uh, Pyramid of Gold, according to the back of the box?), it should be contextually obvious that he's talking about the outer pyramid that he just read about, especially given the outer pyramid itself also being made of gold, too.
I don't mind the inner pyramid being split into "Golden Pyramid (passage)", however; though I should also mention that the manual may be referring to it as the Golden Passage (which I doubt is referring to the level within the passage, as it seems to be treated like the other five passages in the same manual), so maybe the split article could mention that as well while the actual level could get an About template.
