Renaming this page?[edit]
It seems like Donkey Kong Bananza uses a very similar kind of crystal as Super Mario Galaxy, so should this article get a name change to reflect its use in a setting unrelated to Super Mario Galaxy? I think the best method might be to rename it to "Crystal (object)", but I'm not sure what the best name would be for this type of crystal... It might also be a different type of crystal I guess, but since DK Bananza was made by the same team as Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Galaxy (at least if I remember right), then they might have just took this same idea and added it to DK Bananza, meaning it would be the same type of crystal in both games. --Metalex123 (talk) 15:39, January 31, 2026 (UTC)
- I would say this is prominent enough (and the closest to generic crystal) to just drop the identifier and use the base "Crystal" title. It'd also save the headache of figuring out a new identifier for it since it's appeared in two different games/series (the Galaxy series and Bananza), and there are other objects that have used the name "Crystal", so "Crystal (object)" won't be specific enough (in fact, the current "Crystal (Super Mario Galaxy)" title isn't suitable either considering Bars (Boo Mario), another Galaxy object that's also been called "crystals").

- Yeah that makes sense, "Crystal (Super Mario Galaxy)" could mean both in this scenario. So the current Crystal article would have to be moved to "Crystal (Disambiguation)" I assume, so that this article can get the Crystal name. --Metalex123 (talk) 13:21, February 1, 2026 (UTC)
