Maple Treeway?[edit]

Where is there evidence that the music for this course is the same or similar to Maple Treeway but slower and in a different key when the rhythm sounds heavily different than Maple Treeway's music? Please cite your sources, otherwise it's misleading information. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 01:55, 3 January 2014 (EST)

I think it's referring to the main theme of both tracks, since the main melodies do sound like each other. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 13:05, 3 January 2014 (EST)
If they may sound similar, it must be cited otherwise. Maple Treeway's music has plenty of rhythms that were left out from Bowser's Castle. An unregistered contributor added that info, but didn't cite the sources. Citing sources is really important if something looks rather opinionated. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 23:42, 3 January 2014 (EST)
You can listen to the two tracks and see if they sound similar. Again, they do have a very similar sequence of notes. I can't tell you the notes, but when the main melody plays at Bowser's Castle, it does sound like a slowed, minor version of Maple Treeway's main melody. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. Then it seems that Bowser's Castle's music took mainly just the first half of Maple Treeway's music. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 00:33, 4 January 2014 (EST)
Yeah, I know. I consider it to be the main melody of the track, though, so maybe the information can stay? Maple Treeway has a main melody too, which repeats itself a few times. That and the Bowser Castle melody sound similar, which leads to this trivia point. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! BTW, Tails777 removed information from the Trivia section about whether or not the course's music is a dark altered version of Maple Treeway's music. Plus if you were to ask composers Asuka Ohta and Ryo Nagamatsu, that track would actually be written from scratch. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 (talk) 02:11, 29 January 2015 (EST)
